I'm Mike and pencil drawing has been an interest of mine since I was a young boy. I love the process of creating artwork, and have developed my love of portraiture through school and college. I'm fascinated by the individual characteristics which make every person unique. Every time I sit down and start drawing, I know that it will be different than the last which challenges myself to create a portrait which brings out the individual character onto the paper.

I work predominantly in graphite and coloured pencils. I enjoy using colours to create a piece of artwork capturing an accurate physical likeness of the individual.
